10-minute color film from 2026
ICU is a 10-minute color film from 2026 inspired by a panoptic dispositif. In the form of an all-seeing eye hovering above the audience, the vortex-like image watches. The filmed subjects are blurred by a camera movement that reproduces the sensation of falling forward, while the narrative gradually becomes opaque. Only glimpses of different environments can be perceived, telling the story of an escape. A moving cartography that can no longer be controlled, a smoke screen that, through blurring, delineates the contours of a new planet to escape to.
